Old MacDonald Had A Banjo
The children's show, Old MacDonald Had a Banjo, imagines a farm full of songs bursting out to entertain, educate, and involve the audience in singing, movement, and silliness. Folk musician Paul Imholte played the part of Old MacDonald as he sings original and classic children's songs. During the show Paul played fiddle, guitar, hammered dulcimer, autoharp, cello, harmonica, spoons, jaw harp, and, of course, banjo. Children and adults alike left the show singing and enjoyed this energetic program. This program is in celebration of the Once Upon a Reader selection Ten Pigs: An Epic Bath Adventure which was featured in a reading at the beginning of the program and families had the opportunity to stay after the show to do an art project themed from the book. This program took place at 7 locations in the LARL region from November 7 to 10, 2016.
