Through a positive shared experience, audience/participants may learn the following through these performances: the impact of Latin music and Latin dance in the upper Midwest/Minnesota; the historical and cultural beginnings of Latin music and dance styles; build a greater understanding and connection to the values that bind Minnesotans together by using the universal language of music and dance; how Latin music has influenced other music styles; the unique instruments and rhythms associated with specific Latin formats; and basic dance steps of the Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, Salsa Hip-Hop and other dance styles.
