KVSC News Department Staff Coverage of Arts and Culture
The KVSC news department will supplement it's newscasts with coverage of a wide variety of local and regional stories and events that affect the day-to-day lives of residents in and around St. Cloud. As a part of their coverage, the student-led staff will report on local arts, history, and cultural events from the surrounding area, in St. Cloud, and from the campus of St. Cloud State.
Student involvement in broadcast journalism will increase through paid news positions at the station, and provide opportunities to students who desire to get involved with news reporting at KVSC on a volunteer basis. Additional coverage of local events, artists and experts will also be a highlight of the news on KVSC, benefiting those groups whose awareness isn't typically a part of mainstream, commercial radio.
