Authors/Illustrators Activity
Arrowhead Library System will provide local patrons with access to local, regional and popular authors and illustrators. At local libraries, author Sarah Stonich will present her new book, Vacationland, set at a northern Minnesota resort. Arrowhead Library System also provided funding to communities who participated in a One Book, One Community program.
230 adults and youth attended the Sarah Stonich programming.
The intended outcome is to inspire attendees to read, express themselves creatively, and/or explore parts of Minnesota history.
Surveys were distributed to workshop attendees. 100% of attendees would see another program like this at the library. Comments include: "I learned more about the process of writing a book" and "I liked learning more about the Iron Range history I didn't know about."
