Project Overview
An art exhibit was held at the library featuring the pottery of Lori Charest. Charest also taught a hands-on pottery activity for children and their families. Fish were carved out of clay at the first workshop; were taken away and fired by the artist in her kiln. On her return visit, the children painted the fish and mounted them on sticks. A reception was held for the artist with refreshments provided by the Elbow Lake Friends of the Library.

Measurable Outcome(s)
Through written evaluations and verbal comments, the children were delighted with their foray into potting which most had not experienced previously. The adults commented on the 'wonderful atmosphere' at the artists reception and at the newly created display area for art at the library.
