Project Overview

Project #1) Scenic Route is one hour of programming each week featuring the music and writing of local & regional musicians along with interviews and announcements of events. It will Give exposure to arts and culture in our area for locals and visitors.
Project #1.5) WTIP will video and archive live music sessions that happen at WTIP. Sessions would be filmed, mixed and performed at the WTIP, while audio is being broadcast as part of WTIP's Legacy-funded Friday evening live music programming, Scenic Route and Roadhouse. Project includes additional equipment specific to the recording and creation of Legacy video performances. These videos will be shared over the internet and available on social media.

*There will be an increase in locally-focused and Minnesota focused content produced by public radio that is designed to increase access to art and culture.
*There will be an increase in the number of Minnesota musical artists, historians, writers, scientists, storytellers and others that have their work showcased through public broadcasting.
*Minnesota musicians will benefit from even more exposure because the music sessions will now include video as well as audio.
