Project Overview

Residents of communities in KSRQ's listening area share nostalgic stories related to the culture and history of their hometowns. This project is a collaboration with area historical societies in Pennington, Red Lake, Marshall, Beltrami, Clearwater, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk, and Roseau Counties. Segments will feature content from Minnesota authors and history museums, along with the personal recollections of local people. Recent immigrants' stories will be featured, along with remembrances of traditional northwest Minnesota activities like farming, hunting, fishing, hockey, and snowmobiling.
