Project Overview

Promotional and financial support for a series of live music events curated by KMSU and the Department of Music at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Some events are on-campus and some are off-campus. Some of the events contain an educational component, as artists spend time in the classroom talking with music students about their craft. Planned events include:

Performance Series Performances (3 to 6 performances per year)

KMSU will create awareness of these events by broadcasting preview interviews and various promotional awareness messages in the week leading up to each event. In some cases, music by the performing artists will be broadcast to increase event awareness. Select performances will be recorded and broadcast as a highlight show on KMSU. Longer form recordings of select events will be broadcast on The Minnesota Music Channel (KMSU-HD2).
