The Stearns County SWCD Enhanced Shoreline Restoration, Infiltration and Protection Program has accelerated natural resource restoration projects in Stearns County. The project partners are assisting in recruiting landowners to implement shoreline restoration, erosion control and infiltration projects to protect and improve water quality as well as fish and wildlife habitat. We have prioritized projects based on location and impact. The site will be ranked as a higher priority if the it is located near a body of water that has been listed as impaired or has an approved TMDL.

To construct a log building that will house Dakota and Ojibway artifacts during the Douglas County Fair. The building will be open to the public at no charge and it will be staffed and operated with the support of the Runestone Museum and the Douglas County Historical Society. Speakers will talk about Native American history, share their own family artifacts, provide instrumental and vocal performances, and be available to converse with visitors as they view the collection.

Scott County Fair will pilot the first round of interviews during the fair, and support the Historical Society to implement plans to manage the collection of stories, train volunteers to staff the booth, and conduct transcription.
