To build display cases to increase the fair's capacity to display quilting exhibits. Without secure cases, quilters do not bring their best pieces to at the fair. Funds will also be used to host North County Music, and provide art supplies and create a "kids coop" where children to work on art projects during the fair.
The Children's Museum of Rochester, Inc. will be implementing a program called Passport To Play aiming to increase the number of children and families of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes to participate in hands-on arts and cultural programming and educational exhibits at the museum. Passport To Play would reach over 1,500 children and families a year from underserved communities in Southeastern Minnesota. The Children's Museum of Rochester, Inc.
Larry Yazzie and Native Pride Productions will visit four Minnesota communities to present their educational outreach program and public show for more than 50,000 audience members and broadcast audience.
Funding for a two-concert series of Handel’s Messiah to be performed in Chaska, Savage, and Lakeville in December 2010 and In the Presence of Angels to be performed at churches around the south metro in April 2011.
