Preserving Minnesota's History
This grant will support the cataloging, digitization, publication, and preservation of a selection of analog audio and images from the MPR Archive. The content chosen for this project represents the arts, history and cultural heritage of Minnesota as captured by MPR in audio recordings and images through a wide range of programming.
$1,700,000 the first year and $1,775,000 the second year are for Minnesota Public Radio to create programming and expand news service on Minnesota's cultural heritage and history.
Creation of catalog records, digital preservation files, and published audio and metadata for various projects in MPR's history. Improve awareness and understanding of the value of the archive to the general public and MPR staff.
