Park Rapids: The Art Within
This program was a collaboration between the library and the Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) and consisted of three main parts: a community created sculpture, a one day event featuring art by clients of the DAC, and a mother son speaking team presentation. The art made by the community consists of mainly recyclable plastics and is inspired by the artist, Dale Chihuly's glass sculpture. The sculpture created by the community remained at the Park Rapid's library.

A paper survey was available for attendees at all events to fill out to determine if the event was enjoyable and educational.
The majority of respondents indicated that they learned something about the artist, David Chihuly. Many comments were also made on the quality of the speakers who spoke about the healing power of art.
