Kitchigami Reads | Kitchigami Writes: Four Authors | Four Perspectives
Four local authors participated in a panel discussion at 3 regional libraries. Marcie Rendon, an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation is a playwright, poet and author of Murder on the Red River and Girl Gone Missing. Art Coulson, Cherokee, is an award-winning journalist and author of Unstoppable: How Jim Thorpe and the Carlisle Indian School Football Team Defeated Army. Nora Murphy is a 5th generation Irish-American Minnesota resident and author of six books, including White Birch, Red Hawthorn: A Memoir. Mai Moua is the founder of the Hmong literary arts journal Paj Ntaub Voice and author of The Bride Price: A Hmong Wedding Story. The panel discussion was moderated by Sue Bruns, a local author and educator.

A paper survey was available for attendees at all events to fill out to determine if the event was enjoyable and educational.
Over 90% of respondents indicated that they had and enjoyable experience and would attend future events.
