Project Overview

This one-of-a-kind artistic performance will feature a presentation of 128 images of artist George Morrison's work from the 1940s through 2000, set to original jazz compositions composed and performed by Briand Morrison, George Morrison's son. The presentation will include paintings, drawings and wood pieces, some of which have never been publicly shown. This program took place 2 locations in the LARL region on October 8, 2019.

Attendees will learn about the art of a famous MN artist, George Morrison. Attendees will experience a live jazz guitar performance featuring a MN guitarist. Attendees will see images of an art collection featuring George Morrison's paintings, drawings, and sculpture.

Surveys were collected from attendees. The program was highly rated. Attendees commented they enjoyed seeing the photos combined with listening to the music.
