Camp Ripley and Lindberg House Bus Trip
Staff from the Crookston, Ada and Hawley Public Library will lead two fifty passenger buses on a trip to Little Falls, Minnesota to visit Camp Ripley and Charles Lindbergh House and Museum. Participants will have the opportunity to walk around on their own and enjoy the many exhibits they have to offer. Camp Ripley's mission is to educate the public on the service of Minnesota's military veterans and preserve the records of their service through archives and exhibits. Patrons will explore the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum and learn how ambition, fame and life on the Mississippi River shaped Charles Lindbergh's complex character and legacy.
This trip was partially funded by LARL's FY2018 Legacy funding ($3,308.94), the balance of the program was funded by LARL's FY2019 Legacy funding ($1,117.06). Attendance for this program was reported in FY2018 reporting.

Attendees will gain an increased awareness about our state's history from the various exhibits at the museums. Attendees will learn about the life and times of the Charles Lindberg family. Attendees will explore Camp Ripley and learn about historical events at this location. Attendees will have the chance to explore parts of our state that they might not otherwise get to travel to on their own.
Surveys were collected from trip paricipants. The trip was very highly rated. Participants appreciated being able to go on the tour at no cost. Surveys also reflected that most of the participants knew very little about Camp Ripley and Charles Lindberg and were very pleased to learn alot about both.
