Project Overview

Northwest Regional Library sponsored the Fort Frances Highlanders; the group will present Cletic culture through dress of Cameron of Eracht tattan, the bagpipes and drums, and Highland Dancers under trainer Madame Borka in a traditional Celtic performance. The band will perform many traditional tunes such as “Scotland the Brave” and Amazing Grace.”

Measurable Outcome(s)

1.       When asked the question “The program enable me to see a performer I would not have seen or known about otherwise,” the following responses were reported:                Strongly agree  93% ; agree 7%. 2.    When asked the question “the program increased my and/or my child’s/children’s interest in Celtic music and/or dance,” the following responses were reported:    Strongly agree 88%; agree 7% ; no opinion 5%. 3.    When asked the question, “After watching the program I and/or my child/children have learned something new about Celtic music and dance,”: the following responses were reported:     Strongly agree  86%; agree 14%. When asked the question, “After participating in this program today, are you more likely or less likely to think of the library as a place to experience cultural or arts programming?”,     of respondents indicated they were “more likely” to think of the library as a place to experience cultural or Arts programming. On a scale of 1-10 (10 highest),  62% answered 10, 27% answered 9 and 11% answered 8.
