Attendees of the Art & Writing workshops appreciated the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of art techniques and projects. One attendee of the interactive dance performance wrote, "I saw different types of dance, and it was great to see the children join in-they learn so much this way!" A comment from someone who attended a mosaics workshop wrote, "[I learned] how to design, cut tile, use glue/grout. It was nice to do with my niece." Another wrote, "I learned that working at mosaics is really great fun. I learned everything I needed to work at beginning mosaic art. Lisa Arnold is fantastic." An attendee of a Minnesota Center for Book Arts workshop wrote that the class was, "Very fun! My first time in this library." People who attended writing workshops with Britt Aamodt said that they learned more about character development and writing techniques. Attendees of the Marie Olofsdotter workshops got to create their own 'house book,' a book in the shape of a house, with a variety of colorful papers from around the world. One person wrote that they learned to work more toward finishing a project and satisfying themselves with the outcome, and another wrote that they learned "a new way to be creative." Another attendee wrote, "It's great to make art with others!"
