Self-guided interpretive markers were installed to facilitate public access to the Glen Location historic resource at the Minnesota Discovery Center. Illustrations support the text and the markers are placed so that the viewer can see the resource described. The well researched and historically accurate signage allows visitors to learn about the history of the site and the significance of each component of the site.
Partner Organizations: Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps and Glensheen, the historic Congdon estate
First, a memorandum of understanding between Glensheen and Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps will establish the partnership. This partnership will allow Northern Bedrock to provide programming for participants and accomplish Glensheen's historic preservation needs.

With this appropriation, the Minnesota Land Trust plans to protect approximately 500 acres of critical shoreline habitat along Minnesota's lakes, wetlands, rivers, and streams by securing permanent conservation easements and dedicating funds for their perpetual monitoring, management, and enforcement. Lands being considered for permanent protection in this round of funding are located in Becker, Beltrami, Blue Earth, Itasca, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Le Sueur, Otter Tail, Pope, and Wabasha counties.
Equipment and supplies were purchased to digitize and preserve the Hibbing Historical Society's glass negative collection. The images and photographs, depicting the old town of Hibbing and mining industry scenes from the 1910s-20s, were then displayed on a web site.
The original negatives were cleaned, catalogued and stored in foam-lined archival boxes for preservation.
