The Sakatah-Singing Hills State Trail, Bridge #SSH02, is a 5 span, 68 foot long wood bridge which carries the Sakatah-Singing Hills State Trail over Pauls Creek. The rehabilitation of the bridge will be completed in two phases: (1) rehabilitation/replacement of all deteriorated wood piles and wood support beams and the repair/replacement to the wood abuttment walls; (2) replacement of the existing deck and the installation of new safety railings. Structural rehabilitation was completed by 1 July 2011.The replacement of the trail surface/bridge deck and the safety railing will be completed in association with the scheduled resurfacing of this trail segment in 2012.
Rehabilitation of a former railroad bridge which currently carries the Sakatah-SInging Hills State Trail over Pauls Creek west of the community of Faribault. This 68 foot long five span wood bridge is approximately 100 years old has been subject to inspection and has been recommended for rehabilitation.
The rehabilitation of the 68 foot long five span timber bridge to safely accommodate recreational use. The structural rehabilitation of this bridge is to include the repair to the repair or replacement of wood support piles and the replacement of deteriorated support beams and backwalls. The structural rehabilitation of Bridge SSH02 was complete by 1 July 2011. The replacement of the trail surface/bridge deck and safety railing on the bridge will be replaced in association with the scheduled resurfacing of this trail segment in 2012.
