Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

After watching this program, we expected that patrons would be exposed to a new art form, and that they would learn something new about Spanish culture. This type of music is not common nor is it celebrated in this part of the country, and we wanted to showcase something patrons might never get a chance to see otherwise. We also expected that patrons would increase their interest in and understanding of Flamenco music.

Measurable Outcome(s)

99% of respondents indicated that after watching this program they were exposed to a new art form, and that they learned something new about Spanish culture. 42% responded that they enjoyed this program because it helped them learn a new skill. 78% responded that they enjoyed this program because it helped them increase their knowledge, or better understand a topic. 32% responded that they enjoyed this program because they were able to spend quality time with friends or family. 22% responded that they enjoyed this program because it helped them generate or refine their goals and/or ideas. 87% responded that this program increased their interest in and understanding of Flamenco music. Patrons commented that they appreciated getting "live exposure to rarely seen art in this area." A teacher said it was a "fun opportunity to expose my kids to music and art they would not otherwise experience." Others said they had never heard Flamenco music before, and that they would now seek it out for entertainment. Most respondents commented on the quality of the performance and how informative the performers were about the history of their art form.
