AJ's Wine Creations
AJ's Wine Creations visited one of our libraries this winter and provided a hands-on workshop intended to teach everyone how to make their own wine. The presenter spoke about the history of wine and beer making, and explained the different processes that go into the creation of each. The program spanned a few weeks, and the patrons were able to watch and learn about the fermentation process in real time.

We expect that patrons leave this program having learned something new about wine-making. We hope that after seeing the process live, patrons may be inspired to create their own at home. We expect also that they will have a greater understanding of the history of beer and wine making. Our Warroad librarian gathered information from patrons following the end of the program, and gauged from them what they learned, and why they enjoyed the program.
This program was considered successful by the librarian and all participants. Patrons learned about the history of wine and beer making, they learned the scientific aspects of its creation, and were able to attain the skills needed to re-create this process at home. At least two of the participants have continued wine making on their own at home. There have been several requests to bring this program back again next year.
