Project Overview
This project will mechanically treat a number of rock outcrops located between Buckshot and Burntside Lakes, between Tower and Ely. These sites will be managed with hand-cutting to set back encroaching woody vegetation and enhance browse and acorn production for deer. These sites are fire-dependant communities which have not been burned in 80-100 years. They are not viable for commercial forest management.
