Preservation of a historically important collection of photographs, taken for the purposes of insurance underwriting in the mid-1950's, was the goal of this project. Appropriate storage was researched and determined. Archival grade sleeves and storage boxes were obtained. An inventory of all photographs was performed, cataloged and entered into a professional software database. Digital imaging of the original photographic prints provides researchers with a sustainable alternative to viewing the prints.

To gain intellectual and physical control of historic objects held in public trust using PastPerfect

To hire a qualified consultant to develop a Historic Structure Report that will help preserve the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior and Guild Hall, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

To hire consultants to measure feasibility of publicly-desired operational models for its facility as an arts and community center, listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Federal ID 41-184644

To publish a history of the Cedar Lake Park Association, a volunteer citizens' group.

To hire qualified professionals to produce a manuscript on the history of the American Red Cross in Minnesota.

The Cass Gilbert Society website was expanded and upgraded with special emphasis on the buildings and other works of Cass Gilbert. Previously the site featured 40 works. That number has been doubled to 80 works. All are illustrated with historic and/or contemporary photographs. All are linked to published references and/or online resources. A major innovation was the development and incorporation of a searchable database for the featured works. As more featured works are added, they will be incorporated into the searchable database.

To hire qualified professionals to produce a manuscript on the history of the Arlington Hills Public Library building.

To hire qualified consultants to develop planning documents for the centennial celebration of the Minnesota Air National Guard.

With the grant the Northfield Public Library was able to research, write and published a centennial history of the Northfield Carnegie Library entitled "Everlasting Influences:  The Centennial History of the Northfield Carnegie Public Library 1910-2010."

To hire qualified professionals to produce a manuscript on the history of Carleton College's Chapel and Chaplaincy.

The City of Grand Rapids replaced 26 existing light bulbs and fixtures with more energy efficient bulbs and fixtures that more closely resemble the original ones installed in 1895 in the Old Central School, listed in the National Register of Historic Places. 

To hire a qualified historian to research the 150-year history of St. Paul's Central High School.

To document in 5 oral history interviews the history of the Minneapolis Branch AAUW from the 1950s to present.

To hire a qualified consultant to develop a Historic Structure Report that will help preserve the Charles Thompson Memorial Hall, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
