Contract with organizations or hire staff for natural resource and maintenance management throughout the regional system in Anoka County. The scope of the work includes conducting invasive species removal, prairie, oak savanna and forest restorations, oak wilt management, seeding, plantings, additional building and grounds maintenance, tree/shrub removal, debris removal, sign installation, river cleanup/obstruction removal, and public outreach/education about natural resource management.

Design, engineer, and implement a trail loop around Lake Hiawatha, which currently does not exist. This project would interface with a new master plan for the Hiawatha golf course that envisions greater use by the general public. Improvements include trail construction, bridges, wayfinding, and visitor comfort amenities.
Replace restroom building & maintenance garage south of the Chalet Rd. parking lot with new restrooms that meet ADA requirements and new maintenance/trash/recycling building, including demolition of existing structures, retaining walls, soil corrections, associated stormwater management improvements, landscaping, lighting, concrete driveway & sidewalk connections, utilities, furniture, fixtures, equipment, turf restoration, surveys/permits, signage, plus design/engineering/legal & contingencies
Created a new master plan for the park, with extensive community engagement. The master plan will include physical improvements to the park and will meet all Metropolitan Council requirements for master plans. In addition, the master plan will include a programmatic vision for the park, created in collaboration with MPRB environmental staff. Throughout the master plan and programmatic plan process, MPRB will promote the park both through community engagement and special events, both inside the park and throughout the north side of Minneapolis.

Master Plan that will identify and prioritize future capital projects at the Battle Creek O.L.D.A, Battle Creek Regional Park; Otter Lake O.L.D.A., Bald Eagle Otter Lake Regional Park; Rice Creek O.L.D.A., Rice Creek North Corridor. ( 2013 Park Visits; Bald Eagle Otter Lake, 333,600 visits; Battle Creek Regional Park, 761,900 visits; and Grass Vadnais Snail Lakes Regional Park, 746,300 visits).
