Cheryl Sawyer, storyteller from St. Paul, presented the art of storytelling to students and adults. She included props, sound effects, and presented a familiar story in the Finnish language.

Participants will indicate an increase in their appreciation (attitude) and knowledge of Minnesota storytelling traditions.
Measurable Outcome(s)
In response to an in-house survey, 89% strongly agreed that Cheryl met their expectations, and 62% thought it was meaningful for people of all ages. 93% strongly agreed it was an enjoyable learning experience, and 61% strongly agreed the storytelling enhanced their knowledge of a different form of sharing stories. 21% indicated they had not attended a similar event in the past.
