KAWE - Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival Documentary
Lakeland Public Televison will create, produce and air a 60-minute documentary on the Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival. The field-produced documentary will air in the spring of 2012. Several partnerships with local and non-local organizations were enhanced during this producetion: Concordia Language Village, the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bemidji Rotary club played active roles in this piece. These organizations, as well as local community members, will be featured in the production.

Lakeland Public Television's Legacy production crew produced a 60 minute documentary on the Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival. Filming for this documentary was done during the August 2011 festival, post production work including script writing and editing was done over the winter of 2011/12. The program premiered on March 6th, 2012. In addition, a special screening of the film was held to promote the broadcast and our partnership with local organizations involved in the production. Concordia Language Village, The Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bemidji Rotary Club played an active role in this piece. These organizations, as well as many local community members, were featured prominently in the production.
