Anna Dee Olson, author of Growing Up Amishand Leaving the Amish gave a presentation on what her life was like in the Amish community as well as information on the Amish culture.

  • Participants will benefit by gaining knowledge and understanding of the Amish culture. This in turn will often lead to a greater appreciation for diversity and the values of another culture.
  • We will know through the evaluation forms which participants will be asked to complete this post-survey regarding what they expected to learn and if their expectations were met.
  • The larger community will benefit as participants share what they learned with family, friends & co-workers, thus spreading knowledge & understanding of the Amish culture to others in the local community.
