To develop a partnership and a visitor experience plan for the Shakopee riverfront corridor.

To begin the process of significantly enhancing access to the free arts and cultural programming at the Scott County Fair. A new sound and lights system for the stage will improve the audience experience during arts and cultural shows, and performer and audience feedback will help guide the fair as they design a new stage area for future years.

To complete the state’s only mobile oral history recording studio. The Scott County Agricultural Society will completed the road-worthy customized trailer to make it a sound-proof, climate-controlled recording studio.

To provide full ADA-compliant access to the Scriver Block, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with an elevator and grade access entrance.

This project, SEA Us Write & Design Fellowship, is an arts and cultural education program aimed at helping lower-income Minnesota Southeast Asian youth aged 16-18 develop as writers and artists. The program will provide creative writing classes and internships during summer breaks and after school, offering inclusive spaces and culturally relevant activities. Participants will have the opportunity to express themselves, develop leadership skills, and foster relationships with peers and positive adult mentors.

A preliminary National Register assessment of Wayzata's Section Foreman House was prepared for the Wayzata Historical Society by a qualified historic preservation consultant. The final report included a description of the house, the context of its relationship to the Great Northern Railway and the city of Wayzata, the role of a section foreman and standard designs for section houses. The report was submitted to the MN State Historic Preservation Office for review. It was recommended that restoration commence before a National Register Nomination is completed.

Due to the significant increase of Veterans participation at the campground, Last year we had over 35,000 visitors, there is a major concern for the safety and security of all of the visitors on the camp. Installing a maintenance free vinyl fence, along the road coming into the camp, along with two barrier arms at the entry point by the camp office would insure controlled access to the camp.

This project is a transformative initiative deeply rooted in values like curiosity, connection, and compassion. Storytelling Workshops will teach the art of storytelling emphasizing its role in cultural preservation and self-expression. Curriculum Development aims to create a comprehensive storytelling curriculum and integrate it into academic programs. Storytelling Events will provide a platform for participants to share narratives, fostering reflection and dialogue.

To hire a qualified consultant to research the history of refugees in Minnesota, in preparation for a future exhibit.

To recognize outstanding senior citizens in Sibley County. Attendees can listen to a polka band and watch the awards ceremony. Funds will also be used to upgrade stage lighting and install a sound system to enhance the programming.
Additionally, funds will enhance the fine arts exhibits in the Horticulture Building. Upgraded lighting and new display cases will improve the visibility of photography, quilt and needlework entries.
