Pangea World Theater is launching a new institute that brings social practice and community based artists together to utilize Placemaking/Plackeeping projects that center Indigenous, Black and Immigrant knowledge and cultural approaches to transforming Minneapolis and our shared world. The Seeding Change Institute will hold a research and development cohort of ten artists to shape the curriculum and structure for future institutes. The SCI will open to general applications in the fall of 2023.

To design, produce, and install two historical markers for the Tverberg Log House and West St. Olaf Church in southeast Minnesota.

To hire a qualified consultant who will direct The Bakken Museum in collecting more accurate demographic information from visitors to better understand who is and who is not visiting the museum.

To research the history of the Honeywell Ring Laser Gyro, in preparation for a future manuscript.

To hire a qualified historian to research and write the history of brewing and breweries in Washington County.

To hire a qualified consultant to develop a Historic Structure Report that will help preserve the Washington County Historic Courthouse, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Move for America is a new initiative designed to preserve and celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of Minnesota by fostering intercultural exchange and education. It will consist of a direct exchange program involving students from community and technical colleges in Minneapolis and Saint Paul (urban centers) and two rural counties: Otter Tail County and Lyon County. This project includes two full exchanges, each with 30-40 participants over two weekends.

To hire professional conservators to assess museum collections and write a long range conservation plan.

To document in 5 oral history interviews the history of the Minneapolis Branch AAUW from the 1950s to present.

The Children's Discovery Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota will strengthen its acclaimed school service program by: (1) continued leadership of a new Program Director retained on January 1, 2016 (2) creating a new (Minnesota built) core interactive exhibit; (3) developing new curriculum for pre-school through 3rd grade students in ten northern Minnesota counties.

To hire a qualified consultant to conduct a general preservation needs assessment survey and long range collections preservation plan.

StoryArk will hire nonprofit management experts who have a history of working with BIPOC led cultural organizations to develop new systems and processes and train Executive Director, Board, and staff, in 1) grant seeking, writing, and reporting; 2) creating strong evaluation measures; 3) building capacity and fundraising ability.

To document in 12 oral history interviews the history of the Honeywell Ring Laser Gyro.

To document in 10 oral history interviews the history of basketball in and around Minneapolis as a lens onto the issues and dynamics of race/racism, community engagement, politics, unrest, and social change in Minnesota and around the nation.

To hire qualified professionals to produce materials on the Ojibwe language for public access.
