The Cass Gilbert Society website was expanded and upgraded with special emphasis on the buildings and other works of Cass Gilbert. Previously the site featured 40 works. That number has been doubled to 80 works. All are illustrated with historic and/or contemporary photographs. All are linked to published references and/or online resources. A major innovation was the development and incorporation of a searchable database for the featured works. As more featured works are added, they will be incorporated into the searchable database.

To hire qualified professionals to produce a manuscript on the history of the Arlington Hills Public Library building.

Funding to support rehearsals, five outreach performances, and a concert entitled "We Are a Family", to be held on Saturday February 6, 2021 at the CCS auditorium.

Crossing Mountains is a highly collaborative effort by a coalition of Hmong artists to create a sweeping story of two generations of Hmong women who escape Laos to Minnesota. Their story is one of sacrifice and hardship and ultimately hope and redemption. Inspired by the real story of an amazing Hmong woman from Minneapolis, this Hmong opus will use ballet to share the Hmong story of escape from Laos to acclimating in a strange new land.

The Center for Hmong Studies is seeking a $20,000 grant form the Hmong Cultural Grant program to acquire the Jason Schoonover Collection, to provide stipend for students to digitize and catalog the collection, and to organize a Hmong Textile exhibit to show the collection.

The Center for Leadership and Neighborhood Engagement works to organize and mobilize the faith community to affect positive systems change. Our intercultural work aims at communicating culture across racial divides. Through this project we will celebrate and honor creative cultural communication with youth through counter-storytelling, educating joint learning communities, and training cultural heritage organizers to educate and rejuvenate cultural identity in the community.

Lambert Creek discharges into Vadnais Lake, the final impoundment reservoir containing the potable water supply for the city of St. Paul and eight nearby suburbs. Monitoring data indicates high nutrient levels and the creek is listed by the State as having high bacterial levels. In-stream work along Lambert Creek has been maximized with restoration improvements achieving nutrient load reduction. The next step to further improve water quality is to concentrate on restoration efforts on a subwatershed level.

To hire a qualified historian to research the 150-year history of St. Paul's Central High School.

Supplement existing Design/Engineering services to complete site improvement plans for fishing nodes, trails, landscape, site amenities and signage. Construction activities will include demolition, grading, stormwater management, utilities, construction, landscaping, installation of signs and site amenities. Legacy funds will leverage non-state funds provided by Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization and Saint Paul Regional Watershed.

The wastewater from extinguishing structural fires will be analyzed to identify and characterize chemicals present and better understand potential toxicity to humans and water systems.

To hire a qualified consultant to develop a Historic Structure Report that will help preserve the Charles Thompson Memorial Hall, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Design of internal pathways to park facilities located between Cherokee Heights Blvd. and Chippewa Ave. Project includes internal design services, consultant and engineering fees, surveying, and soil analysis.

Installation of ornamental pedestrian-scale lighting along the Ohio Street trail in Cherokee Heights Regional Park, including wiring and any other associated utility and equipment installation

In May 2009, the Minnesota State Legislature asked the Minnesota Humanities Center and four state councils-the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, the Council on Black Minnesotans, the Chicano Latino Affairs Council, and the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans-to collaboratively create new programs and events that celebrates and preserves the artistic, historical, and cultural heritages of the communities represented by each council. 

The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota (CMSM) will build upon a strong foundation of Minnesota Arts, Culture and Heritage (ACH) learning experiences made possible with prior MN Legacy funding support to:

To increase the Steele County Fair's capacity to showcase children's art by purchasing new display materials. Portable wall panels will allow work to be hung in a gallery type fashion, and offer more surface area to display children's art.

The Villa Park Wetland Restoration Project proposes sediment removal from 6 contiguous stormwater wetland treatment cells within the Villa Park Wetland system resulting in an additional 118lbs/yr of total phosphorus(TP) removal from water entering Lake McCarrons.

This is the third installment of a project to purchase microfilmed Minnesota city directories to add to the Minnesota Genealogical Society's research collection. Eighty-one rolls of microfilm, covering the post-1930's period, were acquired this time.

This mini-grant supported curriculum development and activities to build a new civics education program for Latino youth. CLUES integrated this civics education curriculum across the existing Youth in Action (YA!) program.

Rising temperatures and increased precipitation contribute to decreased oxygen and increased methane in Minnesota lakes and wetlands. We will identify impacts on water quality and methane emissions, providing management guidance.

To honor and preserve the cultural heritage of Minnesota's Latino community, CLUES is laying the groundwork for an innovative arts and cultural space on Minneapolis' Lake Street Cultural Corridor. This Minnesota Latino Cultural Heritage Center will work with, and empower, our community through cultural engagement, arts programming, workshops, public arts creations, education, and celebrations of cultural holidays and milestones.

Understanding interconnected social justice histories is foundational to build solidarity with Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities to address systemic inequalities. LinkingLeaders Partnership will integrate solidarity practices by creating and integrating resources, tools, and modules for teaching BIPOC histories in our programs. Resources will be shared as models for practicing solidarity to be used and adapted by others doing solidarity and racial justice equity work.

To hire a qualified conservator and other professionals to restore a significant fountain and sculpture in St. Paul's historic public art collection.

In cooperation with the City of St. Paul, update the joint Master Plan for Phalen-Keller Regional Park. ?The updated master plan will identify and prioritize future capital projects for the regional park that will enhance visitor services.

To gain physical and intellectual control through a professional inventory of approximately 3,800 objects documenting Ramsey County history.
