To document in 15 oral history interviews the history of first- and second-generation Romanian immigrants to Minnesota.

To hire a qualified conservator to provide pest and mold mitigation in collections storage and exhibit areas.

Two storms in July and August of 2010 caused the east wall and gables of the historic North Peterson Barn, a structure on the Andrew Peterson Farmstead listed on the National Register of Historic Places, to collapse. The already deteriorating barn required stabilization to preserve what remained for eventual restoration. The firm of Hansen Hometech was contracted to carry out the stabilizing process.

To hire a qualified archaeologist to conduct a survey of the area known as the Town of Hennepin.

To hire a qualified architect to develop architectural drawings for the Riley Bartholomew House, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

To conduct a basic processing project that will prepare archives collections for public access.

To hire a qualified consultant to write an exhibit design and development documents to enhance and broaden the George Daniels exhibit.

To augment a National Endowment for the Humanities exhibit at the county museum with mobile electronic access to the historic built environment

To hire a qualified consultant to write a feasibility study for the reuse of the 1889 Phelps Mill Store, Underwood, MN.

To hire qualified professionals to repair building elements on the Phelps Mill, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The most imminent threat to Phelps Mill, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is fire. If struck by lightning the wood frame building would be destroyed in minutes. Period photographs indicate that at least three lightning rods were on the mill as early as 1900. When the mill closed in 1939, the rods remained on the roof until 1965 when the county board purchased the site as a county park. Shortly thereafter, the rods were removed when the roof was repaired and shingles replaced.

To provide appropriate storage materials for a photograph collection.

The project will locate, digitize, register (in PastPerfect), preserve and maintain the photo collection at the Dodge County Historical Society

To provide better organization of a photograph collection, allowing for greater public access to this historic resource.
