Project Overview
Robert and Lynn Halbrook have been performing educationally significant programs for elementary schools and libraries throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin since 1998. Srategically weaving entertaining routines (utilizing drama, magic, comedy, and audience participation) with educational messages (benefits of reading, appropriate eating habits, regular exercising habits, bullying, etc.) has become their trademark. Vampires, Witches & Ghosts introduces its guests to a variety of books authored by both topical and classical writers. On display and presented during the program are a variety of artifacts gathered from around the world.

Measurable Outcomes may be collected by survey, anecdotal responses, post-test; End user change in Behavior, Attitude, Skills, Knowledge, Condition and/or Status

Measurable Outcome(s)

1. Attitudes –Patrons were urged to have an open mind when approached with information. Patrons were engaged in the process and seemed to really enjoy the artifacts and demonstrations.
2. Skills –Patrons learned how to cross reference fact and fiction in relation to the realities of the topic vs. the amplified version depicted in literature and media
3. Knowledge – Patrons gained an insight to the origins of vampire lore, as well as facts regarding witches – the actual definition and those ideas that spurred witch hunts. He tied all the information he presented to books available in the library, and many patrons requested the listing of those books.
