Project Overview

Cindy Hendrickx, PLS’s Appleton Librarian, worked with 15 librarians from 7 of PLS’s 9 counties and 8 Minnesota authors in providing entertaining and informational instruction and programs. Participants were introduced to different genres and learned how to create fictional characters, draw illustrations and were exposed to the process of how books are written and published. They were instructed on how a story idea starts, develops and changes during the writing process and up till the work is completed.

15 Events were held in 15 libraries on 10 different days.

Project Details

In addition to the 15 library partners; “Pioneerland Library System: Legacy Regional Evaluations” Some of the partners identified are: Early Childhood Initiative (Ortonville), Friends of the Hector Library, Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce, KDUZ radio, Crow River Arts, and City of Maynard just to name a few.
