In the fiscal years 2016-2017 Prairie Public continues to provide “no fee” educational services to Minnesota K-12 school in our coverage area. 97 Minnesota schools with over 67,000 students are able to access Prairie Publics Educational department’s services with no fees. Prairie Public holds an annual Teachers Training Institute where teachers learn how to incorporate arts culture and history into their K-12 curriculum. The number of Minnesota based teachers attending the Institute will be approximately 40, while training 3 Minnesota master teachers. Three (3) Ready to Learn Workshops will be held in Minnesota each year.
$3,700,000 the first year and $3,700,000 the second year are for grants to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18.
