Improvised Music

Improvised Music is a series of six hour-long programs featuring improvising musicians and groups living and working in the Twin Cities. Each program spotlights a particular artist or group and weaves together interview, discussion, recorded music, as well as live in-studio performance. The original live broadcasts would be recorded for laterrebroadcast and distribution to other radio stations. This program would be based in part on a series of Conversatiosn on Improvisation interviews Pamela Espeland has done with improvising musicians for mnartists.org over the past year and a half. The mnartists.org website is a join project of the Walker Art Center and the McKnight Foundation.
