Culture Queue
Culture Queu explores the distinct, vibrant and changing face of culture in Minnesota; providing a unique, youth perspective on what it means to grow up in Minnesota in teh 21st century. With students behind the microphone both in the field and the KUOM studios, Radio K students will produce a weekly, thirty-minute magazine show, illuminating the dynamic fusion of art, theatre, music, culture and history that defines daily life in Minnesota.
Public Radio Grants. $2,650,000 the first year and $2,650,000 the second year are for a competitive Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants Program-Public Radio.The commissioner shall solicit proposals and award grants to public radio stations that satisfy the eligibility requirements under Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.14, subdivision 3, and create, produce, acquire, or distribute radio programs that educate, enhance, or promote local, regional, or statewide items of artistic, cultural, or historic significance. The commissioner shall give preference to projects that expand Minnesotans' access to knowledge, information, arts, state history, or cultural heritage.
