Habitat Renewal
Improve interpretive graphics, add interactive elements, and expand encounters for both the guest and animal to better make the connection to inspire the public to value the presence of living things. The focus will be the Marine Mammal Building and Tropical Encounters.
$1,350,000 each year is for a grant to to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory for program development that features education programs and habitat enhancement, special exhibits, music appreciation programs, and historical garden access and preservation.
Increase knowledge and awareness of conservation initiatives by 3%. Guests will report a sense of welcoming and more participation to their experience which will better connect the animals, plants and gardens.
