Cultural Heritage Events
ECRL will plan and implement cultural programs for their individual branches to meet community interests. These programs will feature the cultures present in the state of Minnesota and the culture of Minnesota. These programs will be presented by authors, instructors, performers and other varieties of programs that meet the Arts & Culture Heritage definitions.

Attendees will be able to identify one new idea or concept learned or have a richer cultural life. Attendees are asked, "Please share something new you learned or how your life was enriched because of the program? If so, how?"
ECRL staff planned and implemented a variety of cultural programs that occurred around the region. One of these performers was Origami Instructor Kathleen Sheridan & cultural icon Boyd Huppert. A selection of the attendee feedback is below:
"Thank you so much for having Boyd Huppert come here! I love watching his stories on KARE 11 and it was a real treat to see/hear him in person! Very interesting how he develops his stories." "The importance of balance in the news and the positive and negative impact of social media on reporting." "It shows me how much there are good people, who learn to love eachother. True honest - it was very good." "How Boyd gets story ideas, his history, his experiences. Such a fun event!" "My children learned storytelling skills and experienced something new-origami." "I learned a new technique for making painted papers to use for mixed media artwork." "It was nice to have a group experience. It was relaxing and took my mind off of the various anxiety-producing things in the news today. I hope to try this activity with my grandchildren."
