It seems that everyone wants to see bluebirds nest in their yard. And who doesn't like the enthusiastic song belted out by the "Ethel Merman" of the bird world: the little house wren? They're welcome in just about everyone's backyard. But what about the birds who make nests where you don't want them - and the birds that dive-bomb you when you get near? Most people are surprised to learn that it is illegal (as in heavy fine and jail time) to disturb bird nests - including swallows. Backyard bird expert Heidi Hughes will explain how to "co-exist" with birds that annoy you and how to encourage those that delight. This program is all about birds that nest in boxes.
