Project Overview

Como has a long history of providing quality public engagement events that provide opportunities to learn and be creative in a free/low cost environment. Como's Public Engagement area seeks inclusive programming to reach all of our guests and give them a sense of place. Events and programming include Lil Explorers, Senior focused days, Sensory Friendly Mornings, and Como in the Community. This also includes special theme conservation interpretive stations and language days.

$1,350,000 each year is for a grant to to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory for program development that features education programs and habitat enhancement, special exhibits, music appreciation programs, and historical garden access and preservation.
