The Edge Center plans to host Stages Theatre Company. Stages will bring professional actors, musicians, and technical directors to enrich audiences and provide embedded staff development to local artists and technicians. Stages will provide guidance for further development of our theatre.
Funding to stage and perform Winnie the Pooh with youth grades 2 to 8 from Cologne, Hamburg, Norwood Young America, and surrounding communities. The performances will take in Norwood Young America in June and July 2011.
To provide an additional stage for area artists and educators to showcase their talents and knowledge. Arts in the Northland will encompass a diverse group of artists and educators to offer educational and hands on experiences for fairgoers. Historical, traditional, and modern forms of art are all to be a part of the Arts in the Northland.
To construct an Arts and Heritage Center on the fair grounds. The Sibley County Fair will erect an Arts and Heritage Center with a 40 foot stage and two dressing rooms. The building will primarily serve as an educational arts and culture center for the fair. The fair will present acts on the stage from six to eight hours per day during the fair.
To begin the process of significantly enhancing access to the free arts and cultural programming at the Scott County Fair. A new sound and lights system for the stage will improve the audience experience during arts and cultural shows, and performer and audience feedback will help guide the fair as they design a new stage area for future years.
