In her film, Woven from the Land, diverse women talk about the prairie, loss of rural culture, and connection to land. Screened primarily in rural communities, post-screening discussions will encourage dialogue about the history of land, racism, and healing.
In the Circus of the States residency, fourth grade students will learn circus skills and create a performance celebrating their geographic study. The project will include individual research, collaboration, creative problem solving, and theater to entertain and teach.

Minnesota’s 12 regional public library systems, which encompass 350 public libraries in all areas of the state, benefit from a portion of the Legacy Amendment’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Through State Library Services, a division of the Minnesota Department of Education, each regional public library system receives a formula-driven allocation from the annual $3 million Minnesota Regional Library Legacy Grant.
To enhance fairgoers experience of arts programming at the Pine County Fair. A new sound system and sun screen for the arts and culture stage will allow the fair to bring more diverse events and artisans to the fair. These additions will allow the fair to offer several bands that play historic music, a chainsaw artist, and a cattle dog demonstration.
Maritime Heritage Minnesota completed a side and down imaging sonar survey of 104 miles of the Mississippi River in Aitkin County, as well as a small portion of Itasca County when the river meandered across the county line, in August 2010.
The Family Center, in partnership with Screen Porch Productions, will implement a year-round performing arts program that provides opportunities for broader and deeper community arts participation.
IFP Minnesota will provide classes in photography and filmmaking six times per year to residents of the Inpatient Transitional Rehabilitation Program at Courage Center. Students will receive training in digital video and/or photography, and have opportunities to express themselves through these mediums. An exhibition of this work will be provided through a photography show and screening at Courage Center, and through presentations on Courage Center' intranet and closed circuit television, and on IFP Minnesota's website.
