To enhance the education, preservation and promotion of MN history and cultural heritage through performers, musicians and actors at the Big Stone County Fair. The fair will host a bluegrass band, a vaudeville style comedy troupe, and lumberjack shows.
To produce display panels of the history of Nicollet County Fair. This project includes partnerships with the Nicollet County Historical Society, the 4-H extension staff, the fair board, and community members.
The art works on paper in the Sax Brothers Collection Study Room at the Tweed Museum of Art were assessed by conservator, Sherelyn Ogden, who provided recommendations for preferred methods of paper preservation. A broad report was prepared that presents the long-range plan for implementing improvements to the preservation requirements of paper artworks at the Museum. A short-term plan for organizing the collection by size and re-housing the smaller works on paper has been implemented.

The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District completed the fabrication and installation of an exhibit in the reception area of the main Administration Building that chronicles the history of the Sanitary District and the St. Louis River using photographs, text and three-dimensional objects. The Grant amount was adjusted to remove a traveling exhibit component not critical to the success of the project.
Dakota Wicohan created the first half of a leadership and civics curriculum for Dakota youth—Dakota Itancan Kagapi, or, the making of Dakota leaders. The program will be used to train Dakota youth through the inter-related strategies of remembering, reclaiming, and reconnecting with our Dakota language and lifeways to enhance the region’s civic foundation.
