To construct an Arts and Heritage Center on the fair grounds. The Sibley County Fair will erect an Arts and Heritage Center with a 40 foot stage and two dressing rooms. The building will primarily serve as an educational arts and culture center for the fair. The fair will present acts on the stage from six to eight hours per day during the fair.
Per Minnesota Law, the Minnesota Humanities Center administers a competitive Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants Program-Councils of Color. The Humanities Center uses a portion of the funds to provide grants administration, including releasing an RFP, overseeing the proposal process, coordination of the independent review panel, agreement drafting, financial and program monitoring, and reporting.
In partnership with over 50 businesses and organizations, The Cedar will engage East African immigrants with a comprehensive arts program titled Cedar Avenue to Art that uses music events as the focal point and also serves the general public
