Voices of Black Leadership is a vodcast, video podcast series which highlights Black leaders across these strategic focus areas of the African American Leadership Forum: public safety, education, economic infrastructure, health, and housing. This comprises our work known as United By Black Powered By All. This series is intended to inform the broader community of the racial equity work in Minnesota and who is leading these efforts along with how the community can get involved.
The purpose of this project goes beyond just offering classroom style learning options. The purpose of the project is to provide teachings in the classroom, in the community, and in nature with fluent speakers and language learners alike. This proposal is starting the process of Language Revitalization by laying the groundwork for our program to grow and sustain itself beyond grant funding.
Objective 1.) By the end of the project year 1, traditional food curriculum will be developed. Objective 2.) By the end of the project year 1, Waasabiik Ojibwemotaadiwin Immersion Program students will be skilled in identifying traditional foods and will display increased Ojibwemowin language skills.

To enhance the spectator experience at the gazebo stage at the Wabasha County Fair. The fair provided a sun roof area for spectators to watch performances out of the sun.
To provide the region free access to numerous arts, cultural, historical, and educational events and activities that were not available in the area. The Wabasha County Agricultural Fair held a children’s event called “Games that Require no Batteries,” and several workshops engaging all ages of fairgoers in local history, bluegrass music, and music of the Elvis era.
To offer new arts access and cultural heritage programming to both children and adults at the Wadena County Fair. Programming will include demonstrations in depression era toy making, finger knitting, bead work, leather work, growing container gardens, and a presentation on hoop dance, a Native American cultural performance.
To construct an amphitheater on the Wadena County fairgrounds. The amphitheater will be available to the community for cultural and education events sponsored by the Wadena County Agricultural Society, local community groups, schools, etc.
