This project will address Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), United States Environment Protection Agency (EPA), and public comments on draft Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) studies and Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS) reports, preliminary draft TMDL studies, and public noticed TMDL studies and WRAPS reports for the Lower Red River Watershed and the Lake of the Woods Watershed and produce final versions of the TMDL studies and WRAPS reports for each watershed.
This project will create a series of Hmong language booklets, photographically illustrated, comprehensively exploring the refugee experience, with narratives written by elementary school language students, based on their interviews with family elders and impressions of the photos, and edited by their teachers and dual language coaches.

Katha Dance Theatre (KDT) will produce a mainstage program of three world premiere dance concerts to share the art, culture, and history of India through the art of Kathak dance - the 2,000-year-old classical dance style of North India. These productions will include the world premiere of GANGA. The Myth and Reality, the world premiere of PANCHATANTRA, and the world premiere of PRAKRITIR PRATISODH Nature's Revenge. The first will premiere in St. Paul, the second in Minneapolis, and the third will play in another Twin Cities venue (TBD).
This project will support water quality monitoring and data analysis in the Red River Basin. The monitoring will assist in providing water chemistry data needed to calculate annual pollutant loads for the Major Watershed Load Monitoring Program (MWLMP) and provide short term data sets of select parameters to other MPCA programs.
Leveraging new statewide climate data, we will assess future change in the duration, frequency and magnitude of heavy precipitation and drought events and engage communities to prepare for these extremes.
Many Faces of the White Bear Lake Area will provide opportunities to listen, learn, reflect, and engage in conversations and actions that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. The theme, Many Faces: Many Expressions, will bring awareness to the heritage and traditions of our American Indian neighbors through a Wacipi; continues by highlighting stories of recent immigrants to our area through innovative artwork; and culminates by celebrating and building community through a multi-cultural festival.

Retrofitting the Mall parking areas to infiltrate at least one inch of stormwater runoff will result in a large reduction in phosphorus to Kohlman Creek and the lake.

To bring a new cultural performance to the Marshall County Fair. Programming included a performance by Williams and Ree, a duo that singes traditional Americana and Native American songs and recounts early local folklore.
To add and enhance arts programming at the Marshall County Fair. Funds will be used to host a master puppeteer and a bluegrass band, and to improve the performance area by enhancing the lighting, adding electrical outlets and wiring.
The Argyle Historical Society added 52 rolls of the microfilmed newspapers, Marshall County Banner and Marshall County Leader to their collections and acquired a reader/printer to broaden public accessibility to primary records.

This project will support a solo exhibition of new work at the American Indian Community Housing Organization's AICHO Galleries in Duluth, MN tentatively scheduled to run from June 7- August 30, 2024. The presentation will include community engagement activities in the form of an artist reception, and public facing cultural workshops, discussions, and related programming. The work presented is a meditation on the artist's creative practice before, during, and after the Global pandemic, and Global uprising of 2020.
Capitol Region Watershed District and the City of St. Paul seek to improve the water quality of stormwater runoff to Como Lake in St. Paul and reuse stormwater to displace potable water use at the McMurray Fields complex within Como Regional Park. The project partners propose the construction of a stormwater reuse and infiltration system that will treat the stormwater volume equivalent of 1.1 inches over the impervious surface of the subwatershed, or 4.9 acre-feet. The drainage area to the proposed system is 130 acres, with 54 acres of impervious surfaces.
