Statewide History Programs
For fiscal year 2012, the state legislature appropriated $4.8 million in Arts and Cultural Heritage funds to the Minnesota Historical Society for "...programs and purposes related to the historical and cultural heritage of the state of Minnesota...."
With these funds, the Society is working on statewide historic programs that create new opportunities for schoolchildren and teachers, broaden access to Minnesota's historical resources, invest in local communities and historical organizations and preserve our state's historic treasures.
