Project Overview

Broadcast hour documentary on the history of Prohibition in Moorhead MN. This is based on the Wet to Dry exhibit at the Clay Co MN Historical Society. Produce (2) 6-minute historical pieces in cooperation with the Clay Co and Becker Co Historical Societies. Continue to interview and edit a 60 minute documentary on the history of the first hundred years of the Moorhead MN Area. Broadcast a 60 minute documentary,The Rise and
Fall of the Non-Partisan League. Anticipated completion August 2017 with broadcast in October 2017.

Appropriation Language

$4,150,000 the first year and $3,900,000 the second year are to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18. Of this amount, $650,000 the first year is for a grant to Twin Cities Public Television to produce the Vietnam: Minnesota Remembers project. Any production costs associated with this project incurred on or after February 1, 2017, are eligible for reimbursement under this section as long as these funds are available under subdivision 2.
