Appropriation Language

$4,150,000 the first year and $3,900,000 the second year are to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18. Of this amount, $650,000 the first year is for a grant to Twin Cities Public Television to produce the Vietnam: Minnesota Remembers project. Any production costs associated with this project incurred on or after February 1, 2017, are eligible for reimbursement under this section as long as these funds are available under subdivision 2.

Increase the number of Minnesota artists, historians and other local cultural figures featured in arts, cultural and history content. Increase the visibility of artists and their work, aiming for more work sold, more tickets purchased and more grants received. Increase the number of Minnesotans who engage and participate in the arts, culture and history content. Increase Minnesotans' knowledge of our state's arts and cultural heritage and its impact on our communities. Increase documentation and availability of arts, cultural and history content. Increase outreach with educator training and usage of Legacy-funded arts, cultural and history content. Increase student engagement with Minnesota's arts, cultural and history.
