Dan Trudeau

Dan Trudeau is an urban cultural geographer and has been on the faculty of Macalester College’s Geography Department since 2006. His research interests and writing examine how racial and ethnic differences relate to societal belonging. Dan’s research explores these interests across a variety of policy matters, including housing, access to social services, neighborhood planning, and parks. Dan has an interest and passion for supporting equity and inclusion, which he brings to both his professional and personal pursuits. Among his personal pursuits is an avid engagement with the outdoors through recreation and stewardship as well as participation in environmental education. Dan received his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He enjoys hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and camping and loves sharing Minnesota’s outdoor environments with his family.
